A Summer in Orkney

A spirited romantic comedy.

Irish midwife, nurse for the dying and prolapsed Catholic,

Róisín Munday, needs a break.

When she leaves Dublin behind to spend a quiet summer alone in Scotland’s remote Orkney
Islands, Róisín has no idea her tightly held secrets would be at risk of being

laid bare for the entire world to see.

What could be worse? Revealing to the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Ireland that she’s the real
‘Niamh Kearney’, the global smash-hit writer of spicy adult fiction, or, that she sees spirits at work
during the pre-dawn witching hours, blurring the lines between birth and death?

What Róisín doesn’t know is that the biggest secret of all is waiting for her in Orkney.

In this Irish ‘Eat, Pray, Lust’, Róisín’s headed for the most irresponsible summer of her life.

Will her sons ever forgive her? Will she still have a job to return to?

Widows shouldn’t act like this.

A wise woman once said, ‘there’s no such thing as a guilty corpse’.

‘Loved it! It’s funny, mythical, sexy and knowledgeable- what a
combination.
What a great undertaking to combine so much with such
ease. I can almost see this as a series.’
